We didn't change the vote but we still won

The vote was not in our favor but we still won. The Panel for educational Policy still voted to close over 2 dozen schools that night, but something else emerged from the negativity. Nearly two thousand angered people chanted together and mic checked together to prove a point. The point being this is not right! Even with a high police presence which seems to be common in New York City nowadays we still protested peacefully. Some say overall it was still a success, more organizations, students, parents and teachers are united than ever.
